Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board
snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information See HOW
TO TROUBLESHOOT THE FUEL AND EMISSIONS SYSTEMS or HOW TO
TROUBLESHOOT THE A/T SYSTEM .

If the vehicle was out of fuel and the engine stalled before this DTC was
stored, refuel and clear the DTC with the HDS.
If DTC P2101, P2118, P2135, P2138, P2176, or a combination of P2122 and
P2127, P2122, and P2138, or P2127 and P2138 is stored at the same time,
troubleshoot them first, then recheck for DTC P2195.

DTC Description
P2195 AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR (SENSOR 1)
SIGNAL STUCK LEAN
1. MAF sensor/IAT sensor visual check:
ο‘
1. REMOVE THE MAF SENSOR/IAT SENSOR .
2. Check for dirt or debris in the MAF sensor/IAT sensor.
ο‘
Is it dirty?
YES : Remove the debris. If needed, REPLACE THE MAF SENSOR/IAT SENSOR , then do the
repair verification .
NO : Go to step 2.
2. A/F sensor (Sensor 1) installation check:
ο‘
1. Check the installation of the A/F sensor (Sensor 1).
Is the A/F sensor loose or installed incorrectly in the exhaust pipe?
YES : Reinstall the A/F sensor (Sensor 1), then do the repair verification .
NO : Go to step 3.
3. Problem verification:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
ο‘
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE A/T SYSTEM or
HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE FUEL AND EMISSIONS SYSTEMS .
ο‘
ο‘
3. Start the engine, and let it idle without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on.
4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

P2195 AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR (SENSOR 1)
SIGNAL STUCK LEAN
Is DTC P2195 indicated?
YES : Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and the PCM. Update
the PCM See PCM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or PCM UPDATE if it does not have the
latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM See PCM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or
PCM UPDATE , then do the repair verification .
NO : Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at
the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and the PCM.
REPAIR VERIFICATION (OBD STATUS CHECK)

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Reset the PCM with the HDS See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE FUEL AND EMISSIONS
SYSTEMS or HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE A/T SYSTEM .

ο‘
3. DO THE PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE .
4. Start the engine, and let it idle without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on.
5. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P2195 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.

P2195 AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR (SENSOR 1) SIGNAL STUCK LEAN
Does the HDS indicate PASSED, FAILED, or NOT COMPLETED?
PASSED : Troubleshooting is complete. If the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM See PCM
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or PCM UPDATE . If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are
indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
FAILED : Go to step 1 and recheck. If the PCM was updated, substitute a known-good PCM See PCM
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or PCM UPDATE , then check the OBD STATUS again.
NOT COMPLETED : Keep the test condition until a result comes on.
