Honda CR-V 4th generationThe fourth generation of the Japanese automaker's crossovers was introduced in 2012 and lasted until 2016. In 2014, a restyled model of the compact SUV appeared on the market.

Compared to its predecessors, the model received a modern, dynamic design. The headlights and radiator grille were updated, and LED lights were used for the headlights. The exterior design features chrome elements. The fog lamps and the stern of the car have been framed in chrome. Updated wheels add to the elegance.

Not only the exterior of the car has changed, but also its parameters. The body is now larger, which visually adds to its power.

The main rules of ergonomics are taken into account in the cabin. The car's controls have an exquisite design and convenient location. There is a full-fledged front console. The cabin has enough space for the front row and rear seat passengers.

The technical content has been updated. The 4th generation models received a Pandora interface, Bluetooth and streaming audio. A DVD system is provided for the rear row.

The SUV is available in LX, EX, EX-L trim levels. Models with front or all-wheel drive are available.

Technical parameters

The list of engines for the fourth generation Honda CR-V includes a full range of engines. Power and models vary by market. For the American consumer, the crossover is equipped with a 4-cylinder inline K24Z7, with a displacement of 2.4 liters. The engine has 185 horsepower and 221 Nm of torque.

Other models have a 2.2-liter 148-horsepower diesel engine and are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The gasoline engine is represented by a unit with a displacement of 2 liters and a power of 148 hp. After the restyling, a 1.6-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 160 horsepower and a 2.4-liter 185-horsepower engine were added to the list of power units.

The powertrains are combined with a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.

Suspension is represented by front McPherson struts and a multi-link rear.

Safety and comfort systems

The fourth-generation crossovers are equipped with dual-zone climate control, cruise control, central locking with keyless entry, adaptive lighting and rain sensors. A parking assistant is available as an option. In addition to the ABS system, there is a stability control system and cruise control.
