NO : The misfire problem has been fixed. Clear the DTC.

NOTE:
Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and

DTC Description
Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame
P0326 KNOCK SENSOR MALFUNCTION
1. Problem verification:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE A/T SYSTEM or
HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE FUEL AND EMISSIONS SYSTEMS .

3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
4. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 2, 000 rpm or more without load (in P or N) for at least
5 seconds.

5. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description
Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame
P0326 KNOCK SENSOR MALFUNCTION
Is DTC P0326 indicated?
YES : The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO : Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at
the knock sensor and the PCM.
2. Knock sensor installation check:

1. Check the knock sensor installation.
Is the knock sensor installed correctly?
YES : REPLACE THE KNOCK SENSOR , then do the repair verification .
NO : INSTALL THE KNOCK SENSOR CORRECTLY , then do the repair verification .
REPAIR VERIFICATION

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Reset the PCM with the HDS See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE A/T SYSTEM or HOW
TO TROUBLESHOOT THE FUEL AND EMISSIONS SYSTEMS .

3. DO THE PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE .
4. Test-drive under these conditions:

Engine coolant temperature (ECT SENSOR 1) above 158 Β°F (70 Β°C)
Transmission in D
Engine speed at 1, 500 rpm or more
Drive 5 seconds or more
Current conditions

Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P0326 indicated?
YES : Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the knock sensor and the PCM, then go to step 1.
NO : Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated
DTC's troubleshooting.
