1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
2. Reconnect XM receiver connector A (14P).
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
4. Turn on the audio unit, and press the XM button to check if the multi-information display
changes to the XM radio information screen.
Is the XM radio information displayed?
YES : Replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit.
NO : REPLACE THE XM RECEIVER .
14. Audio unit check:

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
2. SUBSTITUTE A KNOWN-GOOD MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY UNIT .
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
4. Turn on the audio unit, and press the AUX button to select the USB mode.
NOTE:
Do not connect the USB device.
Is USB information (No Data) displayed in the multi-information display unit?
YES : Replace the original multi-information display unit.
NO : REPLACE THE AUDIO UNIT .

NOTE:

If you can only tune to channel 000, 001, and 174, make sure the audio-
navigation unit is set to channel mode (see the Owner's Manual), if it is set
to channel mode, call XM Radio customer support at 800-852-9696, and
check the account activation status.

Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Turn on the audio system, and set the XM presets.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) for 1 minute, then turn it back to ON (II).
4. Turn on the audio system, and test the XM preset for proper recall operation.
Do the preset icons recall the set XM stations?
YES : Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time.
NO : REPLACE THE XM RECEIVER .
