YES : The GND wire is OK. Go to step 5.
NO : Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the audio unit and body ground (G503).
5. Audio unit check:

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
2. SUBSTITUTE A KNOWN-GOOD AUDIO SWITCH PANEL , and recheck.
Does the symptom go away?
YES : Replace the original audio switch panel.
NO : REPLACE THE AUDIO UNIT .

CHECK THE VEHICLE BATTERY CONDITION FIRST .
Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
The climate control unit 32P (black) connector and the HFL control unit
32P (grey) connector are the same shape. Make sure the correct connector
is connected to the applicable unit.
1. Problem verification:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Turn the combination lighting switch to the parking light position.
3. Check if the audio-navigation unit buttons are illuminated.
Are the buttons illuminated?
YES : Intermittent failure, the audio-navigation unit is OK at this time.
NO : The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
2. Determine possible failure area (interior lights circuit, others):

1. Check if several other buttons that are not related to the audio system are illuminated.
Are the buttons illuminated?
YES : Go to step 3.
NO : Troubleshoot the interior lights.
3. Open wire check (B CAN-H line, B CAN-L line):

1. Turn the combination lighting switch off.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

Disconnect the following connectors.
Audio-navigation unit connector E (16P)
Gauge control module 32P connector

4. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition IG LOCK (0)
Audio-navigation unit connector E (16P): disconnected
Gauge control module 32P connector: disconnected
Test circuit B CAN-H
Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector E (16P) No. 1 (PNK)
Test point 2 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 30 (PNK)
Test circuit B CAN-L
Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector E (16P) No. 9 (BLU)
Test point 2 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 31 (BLU)

Is there continuity?
YES : REPLACE THE AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT .
NO : Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the gauge control module.

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
