Is there continuity?
YES : REPLACE THE AUDIO UNIT .
NO : Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the gauge control module.
VOLUME IS TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW WHEN DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS

CHECK THE VEHICLE BATTERY CONDITION FIRST .
If possible, have the customer demonstrate their concern and compare it
against a known-good vehicle.
1. Problem verification:
ο‘
1. Test-drive the vehicle at freeway speeds and monitor the volume level.
Is the volume level too high, or too low?
YES : The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO : Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
2. Operation check:
ο‘
1. Change the SVC mode setting in sound set-up to SVC MID.
Is the volume level still too high, or too low?
YES : REPLACE THE AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT .
YES : REPLACE THE AUDIO UNIT .
NO : Improper SVC setting for the customers sound taste.
XM RADIO DISPLAY IS BLANK AND NO STATION INFORMATION IS DISPLAYED

Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
1. Determine possible failure area (related GA-NET circuit, others):

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

2. Turn on the audio system, and press the AUDIO button to check if the multi-information display
changes to the audio information screen.
Is the audio information displayed?
