HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE AUDIO SYSTEM
ANTI-THEFT FEATURE
The audio-navigation unit or the audio unit (with multi-information display) has an anti-theft protection circuit.
When one of the following occurs, the unit enters the anti-theft mode.

Disconnecting the battery.
Disconnecting audio-navigation unit connector A (24P), connector B (20P), or audio unit connector A
(24P).

ο¬
With navigation: Removing the No. A1-6 (100 A) fuse or the No. A29 (10 A) fuse from the under-hood
fuse/relay box.
Without navigation: Removing the No. A1-6 (100 A) fuse or the No. A2-2 (60 A) fuse from the under-
hood fuse/relay box or the No. B25 (10 A) fuse from the under-dash fuse/relay box.
After service, reconnect power to the audio-navigation unit or the audio unit, and turn the ignition switch to ON
(II). There are two ways to exit the anti-theft mode:

Press and hold the VOLUME/POWER knob or the POWER button for at least 2 seconds. The audio-
navigation unit or the audio unit automatically exits the anti-theft mode. If the audio-navigation unit or
the audio unit does not exit anti-theft mode, like in cases where a known-good unit was substituted for
testing, enter the anti-theft code.

Enter the 5-digit anti-theft code.
There are no anti-theft cards included with the vehicle. If you need the code, you can get the code from the
Interactive Network (iN) using the audio-navigation unit or the audio unit serial number. The unit serial number
can easily be obtained without removing the audio-navigation unit or the audio unit, do the following:

Without navigation: GO TO HOW TO OBTAIN THE AUDIO UNIT SERIAL NUMBER IN SELF-
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION.
After you retrieve the serial number, go to the iN, select Service, Vehicle Information, Anti-Theft Code Inquiry,
and fill out the form.
When the audio-navigation unit or the audio unit is installed in another vehicle (same Year/Model/Trim), you
have to enter the 5-digit anti-theft security code. After that, you can release the anti-theft mode by pressing and
holding the VOLUME/POWER knob or the POWER button.
LEVER-LOCKED CONNECTOR
Disconnecting
To disconnect the connector, pull the lever (A) while pushing the lock tab (B) down, then pull the connector
(C).

Connecting
To connect the connector, push the connector into the connector sleeve (A). As the connector is pressed in, the
lever (B) moves to the locked position.

HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE REAR ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
REAR SCREEN OPERATION
The rear screen power and the back light on/off depends on the screen panel opening angle.

When the rear screen panel opened more than 15Β°, the rear screen turns on.
When the rear screen panel opened more than 130Β°, the screen back light is off (power is still on).
