For proper and safe operation of the climate control system, the refrigerant system
should only be served by a qualified technician.
NOTICE
Vented refrigerant is harmful to the environment.
To avoid refrigerant from venting, never replace the
evaporator with one removed from a used or
salvaged vehicle.
Never repair or replace the air conditioning evaporator (cooling coil) with one
removed from a used or salvaged vehicle.
Refrigerant in your vehicleβs air conditioning system is
flammable and can be ignited during servicing if
proper procedures are not followed.

When to Replace the Dust and Pollen Filter

Using an air freshener may reduce the deodorizing
effect of the dust and pollen filter, and may reduce its
life.
Replace the dust and pollen filter according to your vehicleβs recommended
maintenance schedule. It is recommended to replace the filter even sooner if the
vehicle has been driven in a dusty environment.
If the airflow from the climate control system*
deteriorates noticeably, and the windows fog up
easily, the filter may need to be replaced.

How to Replace the Dust and Pollen Filter

The dust and pollen filter collects pollen, dust, and
other debris in the air.
1. Open the glove box.

2. Disengage the two tabs by pushing on each
side panel, then push down the stop.
3. Pivot the glove box out of the way.

4. Push in the tabs on the corners of the filter
case cover, and remove it.

If you are not sure how to replace the dust and pollen
filter, have it replaced by a dealer.

5. Remove the filter from the case.
6. Install a new filter in the case.
