The Vehicle Stability AssistTM (VSA®) system, brake
system (Amber), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with
Low Speed Follow, low tire pressure/TPMS* and
safety support indicators may come on along with a
message in the gauge when you set the power mode
to ON after reconnecting the battery.
What to Do After the Engine Starts
■
Once your vehicle's engine has started, remove the jumper cables in the following
order.
1. Disconnect the jumper cable from your vehicle's ground.
2. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the booster battery -
terminal.
3. Disconnect the jumper cable from your vehicle's battery + terminal.
4. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the booster battery +
terminal.
Drive a short distance at more than 12 mph (20 km/h).
Each indicator should go off. If it does not, have your
vehicle checked by a dealer.
Have your vehicle inspected by a nearby service station or a dealer.

Shift Lever Does Not Move
Follow the procedure below if you cannot move the shift lever out of the (P
position.
Releasing the Lock
■
1. Set the parking brake.

2. Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF.
3. Remove the built-in key from the keyless
remote.
4. Wrap a cloth around the tip of the built-in
key. Put it into the shift lock release slot as
shown in the image, and remove the cover.

5. Insert the built-in key into the shift lock
release slot.

6. While pushing the built-in key in, press the
shift lever release button, and place the
shift lever into (N.
u The lock is now released. Have the shift
lever checked by a dealer as soon as
possible.
